Although on our LINKS page there are a few organizations listed where the perfect companion animals can be found, this section will also post photos of pets who are need a loving home.

THIS SITE IS CONTINUALLY UPDATING.    We hope you will visit this site often for all the new listings of loving kitties and pass it along to those you know who might be looking to adopt, or willing to be a foster home.

AND, please be sure to check out the kitties in need of homes that are currently being held at Animal Care and Control.  These are found at the bottom of the page and also in the Featured Pet Adoptions section.

Chicago, IL – Adopt Charlie the Dog and Cat-Friendly Tuxedo Kitten

Charlie is a tiny three-pound, 10-week-old, male tuxedo kitten looking for a loving guardian.

Charlie ran into the lobby of an apartment building on Sheridan Road in Chicago. His ear was skinny, bleeding and sickly. The woman who found him had a dog, but had never had a cat before. She brought him home and with some TLC and the assistance of a couple local vets, she was able to get him healthy.

Charlie has now joined my pack and he absolutely positively LOVES my playful dog. They romp, wrestle, groom each other … it’s just adorable. All my cats are older and have no use for him … but he’s fine with them as well.

He is well-behaved in the home, vaccinated, vet-checked, treated for worms and will be neutered and micro-chipped this week in preparation for his new home.

To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact me directly at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. His adoption fee of $150 benefits rescued pets. He's currently living with me in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.

The cat selection at Animal Care and Control is constantly changing, so it's best to visit Chicago Animal Care & Control in person at 2741 S. Western Avenue in Chicago.

Animal Care and Control is NOT a no-kill facility.

Due to budget cuts the shelter is now closed on Monday and Tuesday.  These lovely cats will be available for adoption Wednesdays through Fridays 4PM - 7PM, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3:00, and from 4PM to 7PM.

312-744-5000

The cats' adoption fee is only $65 including spay and/or neuter surgery, rabies and distemper vaccines, virus-testing, de-worming and microchip.

If you’d like to volunteer to walk dogs or socialize cats at CACC, please contact Kathy atkbwilson60612@yahoo.com

Volunteers are needed to help out from noon to 7:00 pm seven days a week.

Thanks to the wonderful person who adopted:

Think any of these above adorable little best friends might still be there when you visit??  Check it out!
