Chicago, IL – Adopt Spooky the Gentle Senior Tortie Cat
Spooky is a sweet and gentle, five and a half pound, senior female Tortoiseshell cat looking for a loving guardian.
Spooky’s 64-year-old owner suddenly and unexpectedly passed away and she was left homeless. Lucky for her, a caring neighbor heard about her dilemma and came to her rescue.
Tiny little Spooky is currently being fostered with four other cats and a small gentle dog. She’s getting along just fine with everyone. When she’s not sleeping on the windowsill, she’s rubbing happily against your legs and giving head butts.
Spooky was born on Halloween, thus the name, but we’re not sure of the exact year. She has all her claws but uses her scratching post faithfully and she’s good with litter box.
Spooky is a healthy senior, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and virus-tested. She has been diagnosed with hyperthyroid disease, but she is on easy to administer meds to maintain her health.
She’s looking for a loving home with a soft cushy spot to lay in the sun, curl up and relax.
To meet and possibly adopt Spooky, please contact her rescuer Susan at Susan.Langworthy77@gmail.com or 720-480-1331. Her adoption fee of $50 includes a supply of her medication and her favorite food. She is being fostered in downtown Chicago.
Plano, IL – Adopt Blade the Sweet and Gentle Shar Pei
Blade is a very special, sweet and gentle, 50-pound, three-year-old, male Shar Pei looking for a very special dog-loving guardian.
Poor Blade spent the first part of his life living outside. When he was given up to rescue by his “family” he finally had a chance of a good life.
He just loves to be touched, pet, loved on and snuggled with.
Poor Blade is so full of fear, he is just learning to walk on leash. He doesn’t like things on his neck, so he wears a harness. Sometimes he needs to be picked up and carried. He loves people, but young children may be a little too much for him. Adults and gentle teenagers are more his speed.
Blade wasn’t socialized with other dogs, but he may be okay with a gentle non-threatening dog.
Blade is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and tested for heartworm.
He is currently at the Pei Land Rescue in Plano, Illinois. His adoption fee of $300 benefits rescues pets.
To meet and possibly adopt Blade, please contact Jen at firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-553-7829.
