Chicago, IL – Adopt Yorkie Best Friends Yogi and BooBoo

Yogi and BooBoo are a pair of young cuddly and lovable six-pound male Yorkies looking for a loving guardian together.

Found running stray together in Chicago’s east side Grand Crossing neighborhood, it’s obvious this boys adore each other.

BooBoo, who has ears that stand, up is guessed to be about two years old. Yogi, who has floppier ears, is guessed to be mixed with a Poodle or Maltese and looks like he may be about four years old.

These guys landed at Chicago Animal Care and Control horribly matted, full of parasites and ear infections. Poor BooBoo had a broken elbow which needed to be repaired surgically.

Yogi and BooBoo are very sweet, gentle and loving boys who take a little while to warm up to strangers, but once they love you, they adore you. They are fine with other dogs and cats but may bark at first.

Yogi and BooBoo are now healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, and heartworm-tested. They even had a dental. Their adoption fee of $400 as a pair benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control. They are being fostered in Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood.

They are looking for a patient dog-lover to take them under their wing to adore them and continue their training.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting these boys as a pair, please e-mail Lori at fcacfoster@gmail.com to ask for an adoption application.

Chicago, IL – Adopt Juliette the Dog-Friendly Shar Pei

Juliette is a happy, beautiful and sweet, loyal and loving, three-year-old, 47-pound, female purebred brush coat apricot Chinese Shar Pei looking for a loving guardian.

She is an intelligent, active and playful girl who is built like an athlete. All her wrinkles are on her face and she has soft snuggly fur. While she is sometimes hesitant with new people, she has been excellent with every dog that we’ve had the opportunity to meet. She was also incredibly well behaved at the vet’s office where they prodded and poked her while giving her vaccines and cleaning and checking ears and eyes.

Juliette was found wandering stray in Romeoville, Illinois. She was corralled by Animal Control Officer MaryAnn Wisniewski-Helton of Romeoville who contacted me upon hearing about my love of Shar Pei and I agreed to take her in.

Juliette is fabulous in the car, great on walks, loves to play fetch with tennis balls and carries around stuffed animals in her mouth … adorable!

She is housebroken, perfectly well-behaved in the home, and crate-trained. She even sits on command and would love to learn more. She is very attentive to her people and her tail is often happily wagging.

Juliette is still in the process of getting fully vetted. She came into Romeoville Animal Control with a skin infection, eye infection and ear infection; she was also in heat. But, she’s scheduled for spay surgery and a dental in a couple weeks and she may also need entropion surgery for her eyes at the same time.

To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact me directly at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. Her adoption fee of $300 benefits rescued pets. She's currently living with me in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
