UPCOMING EVENTS
Join the fun Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Red Door Animal Shelter’s 13th Annual Walk For the Animals. This fun event takes place at Chicago’s Indian Boundary Park at 2500 W. Lunt Avenue. This walk raises money and awareness of the rabbits, dogs and cats rescued by the Red Door Animal Shelter.
The walk is about 1.5 miles (2.5k), followed by brunch, doggie treat bags, games and a raffle. Dogs are welcome to participate but you certainly don’t need a dog to enjoy this event.
The walk starts at 10:00 a.m. - rain or shine. Pre-registration is $20 for adults, $5 for children aged 3 to 12. Registration on the day of the walk starts at 9 am and is $25 for adults, $10 for kids. Every registrant receives a 13th Annual Red Door T-shirt, brunch after the walk, and a doggy gift bag. You can do the walk, or bring a blanket or lawn chair and hang out in the park and enjoy the refreshments and entertainment: pet psychic, musicians, doggy splash pools, and doggy massages.

This we know.
The earth does not belong to people:
People belong to the earth.
This we know. All things are connected
Like the blood which unites one family.
All things are connected.
Whatever befalls the earth
Befalls the children of the earth.
People did not weave the web of life,
They are merely a strand in it.
Whatever they do to the web,
They do to themselves.
